Dr. Alapati doesn’t listen to the patient. On my last visit, he didn’t even come into the room. He sent in his mid-level, and when I had questions she couldn’t answer, she had to keep leaving the room to ask him the questions. I had to go back today for another pre-op visit. This wouldn’t have been necessary had he discussed my scans with me on the last visit. He stressed the risks or surgery, focusing on the scar. He didn’t give one single positive comment about how the surgery could fix the large, ugly lump on my neck or how it could fix the pain on the side of my face/ear. My mom told him my dad had a lump for years that everyone said was nothing to worry about and it turned out to be stage IV mantle cell lymphoma. I have a huge cancer family history and Dr. Alapati didn’t listen to any of that. His bedside manner is the worst!
