Dr. Eile immediately asked me, "well what have you been eating?!" as I told her about my cholesterol levels. I had hoped for more compassion. She then told me the medication I was on wouldn't be helpful to lower my cholesterol. I told her that heart problems run in my family and that my mother died of a heart attack and she said "oh do you have one of those family histories like Elvis?" which felt a bit out of left field and not super empathetic. I can usually handle doctors without bedside manner, but she came off as rude, condescending, arrogant, and unwilling to help. Putting this out there so others might be able to make an informed decision before working with Dr. Eile and her staff.
