I waited for almost 3 months to get in for a nerve study. Those 3 months have been extremely painful and uncomfortable because of the numbness, and burning pain in my hands and left arm. The day of the nerve study turned out to be a more chilly day, and I was extremely cold in the sleeveless gown worn for the nerve study. No attempt was made by the person doing the nerve study to warm my hands up before doing the nerve study of my hands. And now I have a diagnosis of carpal tunnel, when all along I have been telling my doctor, a physical therapist, and this person doing the nerve study that my symptoms ( brought on and made worse by bending my left arm) are more indicative of cubital tunnel syndrome than carpal tunnel. How can the nerve study results be accurate when the nerve study was done on cold hands, and not even on all the parts of my left hand that have been the most affected? And then I didn't even get a follow up appointment to discuss the results of the nerve study.
