Dr. Husain has provided compassionate, attentive care to my sister, for which I’m deeply grateful. However, my interactions with receptionists Diane and Jean Ann were distressing. As my sister’s care advocate, I sought clarity on the infusion process and insurance approvals, but Jean Ann was unhelpful and repeatedly put me on hold. When I asked to speak with Diane, I was told she was “busy” and that “she’ll only tell you what I’m telling you.” Jean Ann then hung up without taking my contact info. Diane later called back but was curt and dismissive, even saying, “You calling around doesn’t help anything”—a painful response given my sister’s condition. Their tone conveyed impatience and made me feel like a burden. It’s unfortunate that such a skilled physician is supported by staff who lack empathy and professionalism.
