My experience with Dr. Grunwald was extremely disappointing and stressful. While her surgical skills may be competent, her lack of transparency, empathy, and patient care is deeply concerning.My surgery was originally quoted at $20,000, and Dr. Grunwald confidently assured me that a second surgery would not be necessary. As a 40-year-old newly diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer, I was already under tremendous emotional strain and trusted her professional judgment. At no point did she or her staff proactively discuss what the costs might be if another procedure became necessary.Three months later, I was told I needed a second surgery — which came with an unexpected $10,000 out-of-pocket cost. When I tried to speak with Dr. Grunwald about this, she was completely dismissive and refused to have a direct conversation.To make matters worse, her office staff was unresponsive and disorganized. For over six weeks, I was passed around between multiple office staff with no resolution.
