Terrible experience with Dr Durkee performing a LEEP Procedure. Seemed like he was trying to impress student doctors in attendance, and communicated with me by shouting at me. No bedside manner. Busy chatting with the students until he nicked a blood vessel and continued shouting at me . The area wasn’t healing and bleeding continued weeks afterwards at home. I called three times and was told bleeding was normal even after two weeks. I asked when my after care appointment was scheduled, and was told that Dr Durkee instructed there was no need for an aftercare appointment and I would not need to be seen for another year. My previous retired OBGYN always scheduled after care appointments two to three weeks after such procedures. I changed OBGYNs for my next yearly appointment and was told the area treated was ragged deeply scarred, and had to have a procedure to try to correct and smooth the area as much as possible.
