STAY AWAY!!! Do not let this guy operate on you under any circumstances. You have the right to request a different surgeon. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO!!! Dr Safley is not a good surgeon by any standard. He gives no pre-op information, does not give any information on what was done afterwards, his aftercare instructions were openly criticized by experienced surgeons from the medication (antibiotics) to the wound care. MOST IMPORTANTLY he did not do a thorough job at all and left me with huge painful open wounds that are disfiguring. On top of all of that, he has an attitude as if he is a stellar surgeon. Trust me, do not let him operate on you or make any medical decisions for you. There are (MUCH) better surgeons in the same building. Ones who have taught others at university, are experienced, knowledgable, and talented. Dr Safley is none of these.
