Dr. Vahik Meserkhani, DDS

I had initially scheduled and had to reschedule twice. Upon arrival, the office was very scattered and disorganized. After taking x-rays, the doctor without consulting with me, assumed all rights to make decisions on my behalf with a plan that exceeded $12,000. He was in a rush and I did not feel like he took the time to walk me through things. Any consulting should be personable and collaborative, with the patient's consensus. I drove from Woodland Hills to Glendale to experience a lackluster, rushed doctor with limited communication skills and explanations. I originally came here for one crown. There was no explanation of what materials were used and I had to reel the staff in on the priority. Once the doctor left, I was then left to speak with Sonya, who was just a robot version of the doctor, and I asked as many questions as I could. She was aware I had insurance, but I had to remind her to submit a Pre-determination to my insurance company. Then it should re-estimate what I owe out of pocket and what's covered. I've never received that information as of today and this was done on 3/20/23. Upon calling, Sonya continued to say she couldn't verify my insurance. Hmmm my Ortho office that works with this office was able to verify it. When I called her out on her unprofessionalism, ignorance and incompetency, she rebuttled aggressively. What a joke that she's the office manager LOL. MY ADVICE IS GO ELSEWHERE TO A DOCTOR WHO KNOWS WHAT PRIORITIES BENEFIT THE CLIENT VERSUS ONLY PRIORITIZING WORK THAT BENEFITS HIS EXPERTISE. Everything is rejected from top down, so when you have a doctor who lacks accountability and integrity within his field and work space, to prioritize thorough communication and explanations, then you have an office manager like Sonya with zero personable skills who mirrors such unprofessional demeanor. WHAT STRIKES ME ODD, IS THERE WAS AN INFECTION THEY DETECTED AND THEY STILL PRIORITIZED CROWN WORK?! I'm glad to go to an actual dental office with an Endo, who said the infection is priority. They focused on the one permanent implant I originally needed to start work on to complete my Ortho treatment. Thank God I went elsewhere for a second opinion vs waiting and having to call this lackluster office staff for information that they should be trained properly to get and follow up. I left a message for Dr Vahik and he had yet till this day, never returned my call. Do I count on it? Pfft NOPE
