I’ve been going to Dr. Shetty for years, but after my most recent visit, I’ve decided to find a new doctor. Unfortunately, my experience was not just disappointing—it was frustrating and dismissive, especially concerning women’s health issues. When I went in to discuss my concerns about recent weight gain and severe fatigue, Dr. Shetty was incredibly condescending. Instead of taking my symptoms seriously, he made an offhand remark about how many women come in complaining about weight gain, as if it was something to be brushed aside. After doing my own research and getting bloodwork done, I discovered that I have Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune condition. When I brought this up, Dr. Shetty dismissed it, telling me there was nothing I could do until I developed hypothyroidism and needed medication. He even went as far as to say that there were no lifestyle changes that could help with my symptoms, which I know to be untrue. This experience made it clear to me that Dr. Shetty does not prioritize his patients’ concerns, especially when it comes to women’s health. I’m deeply disappointed and will be seeking care elsewhere.
