She treated my mom through 2 bouts of cancer with a 10 year remission in between. My mom had so much respect, trust, and I’d say love for Dr S-V because she was relentless in the treatment. Dr S-V has an amazing brain, and she verbalizes every single thought, which is overwhelming if you aren’t medically minded, but she KNOWS her stuff. My mom valued ‘quality of life’ over being cancer free, and Dr S-V respected her wishes by creating a slow and steady plan that allowed my mom to FULLY live life at least 5 years more than if the treatment had been aggressive. (Mom always had side effects to the stronger meds.) Dr S-V, if you read this: Thank you for the way you fought for my mom and treated her with dignity, love and kindness. As her daughter, you were always there answering my calls and questions. Our whole family thanks you and I always think how fortunate we were to know you as her Dr.
