My experience with Dr. Burgess is less stellar than others reported here. Recently as part of my semi annual checkups he requested I take a Fibroscan to check on my liver. Well after having the scan I expected to get not only the results but the analysis of those results and suggested actions to take. The test occured on 9/20 and after many calls to the office on 10/11 I heard back with the diagnosis and suggested remedy of "to not drink alcohol" which was delivered by phone by his tech. He obviously was out of his element in the interpretation of the results. The results of the test were never posted on the patient portal. Needless to say I switched primary doctors and when I saw the new doctor she gave me a copy of the results and had it posted on the portal. Researching on Google I was able to determine that the results were not bad at all but decided I would follow up with my gastroenterologist. In summary I would not be able to recommend Dr. Burgess if you want a reliable doctor who follows through.
