I met the clinician in an outpatient setting. During our first visit, I had the impression that everything was going well. When I had gotten home, I came to find out many things that eventually led to this 1 star rating. First I would like to say I’m disappointed because the clinician misgendered me multiple times when I was very forthcoming from the beginning and persistently verbalized my gender identity. Secondly, the provider made a diagnosis upon my first encounter that is very complex in nature and requires multiple interactions - which then proceeded to not be discussed with me at all. The provider demonstrated multiple other areas that elicited paternalistic behavior.
