Dr. Averill is a Cardiologist who we met in 2003 when my wife rushed me to the Emergency Room early one morning because I knew something was drastically wrong. I weighed 263 Lbs. and felt pressure in my chest. The nurse took my blood pressure immediately. He knew right away that I was in trouble and hit the Cardiac Alarm. Dr Averill was down the hall and got to me almost. Within minutes I passed out just as he said 'I don't like what I see' while supervising IVs and nurses and a heart echo. He stabilized me and the next morning I was in the operating room for a 5 Way Bypass that was successful. That was 21 years ago, and I still see Dr. Averill on a regular basis. He inspired me to change my diet, exercise, manage stress, lose 85 Pounds, and most importantly become part of the Cardiac Rehab program and help others recover. He is the best example of medicine the way it should be. A fantastic doctor with a great staff who puts his patient 1st.
