Dr. Emper performed a TKA in July of 2020 which was grossly misaligned. He acknowledged the misalignment, as it was visually obvious, and performed a revision one month later which developed arthrofibrosis and again was misaligned. He then performed a MUA a few weeks later with no improvement to either pain or ROM. At this point, Dr Emper referred me to one of his Rothman colleagues, who recommended a 3rd revision to properly align the prosthetic and which should ultimately improve ROM and decrease the pain from the arthrofibrosis. Unfortunately, what no one informs patients of during committing to this type of procedure is that NO outside surgeons will see patients one year after a knee replacement. They do not want to inherit another surgeons mistake. This incompetence is unacceptable. Rothman's slogans of "Get your life back" are unfounded with this patient. I eventually moved on from Rothman and Dr. Emper but it is an extremely long and continuing recovery.
