If anyone is looking for the absolute best at Tripler Army Medical Center, located on Oahu, Hawaii, look no further than Dr. William E. Daner, III, MD. From the moment I met him, his brilliant mind and undeniable 'swag' reminded me of a real-life Dr. Gregory House—he is clearly a superstar in his field who knows exactly what he is doing. I came to him with a devastating injury: I severed the quadricep tendons in both of my knees and lost all mobility. Dr. Daner performed a flawless surgery that was nothing short of miraculous. I also appreciate that during the recovery phase; he was wise enough to 'protect me from myself' by recommending full casts on both legs. That decision was vital in preventing re-injury. Six months later, I am walking normally again, a result I once feared might not be possible. Dr. Daner is truly a master of his trade. If you want a surgeon with unmatched skill and the confidence to back it up, he is the one. Thank you, Dr. Daner, for giving me my mobility back!
