Dr. Metz seemed to be a well educated and knowledgeable gastroenterologist who did answer my questions / concerns. However, she needs to improve her bedside manner in my experience with her. She was a bit huffy w/ me from the get go, I had arrived on time to my appt., was filling out the online medical history form but accidentally deleted it when she called me in to be seen. She seemed resentful that she had to ask me my medical history questions, and interrupted me impatiently one time when I paused to recollect and give an accurate answer. Then when I politely said that I preferred to have any needed tests that require anesthesia done again at the hospital I’d had them done at before she seemed offended. After that I felt she was somewhat disinterested in helping me. Drs/ specialists need to understand that patients are coming to them sometimes concerned / nervous re: health issue/s, and may just need advice or a second opinion. I am a cheerful, respectful person who paid my $50. co-pay. To feel scolded in an abrupt manner is not professional or helpful to the patient.
