Dr. Gary Zachariah, Psy.D

I was referred to him by a friend. I liked him at first when I was able to have sessions in his office, but as we got into the pandemic and were limited to online sessions he became quirkier about scheduling and visibly distracted in our sessions. At first I gave him slack because we were all dealing with the pandemic, but after he stopped returning my calls altogether I started taking it personally. Then I found out my friend was having the same experience. He ghosted both of us and never gave any explanation. I have no idea what was going on with him but I consider that very unprofessional behavior, not to mention hurtful. Of course I still got a final bill in the mail. I also felt that he was always steering me toward relationship issues when that wasn't the only issue I wanted to address. I also wondered if some of the generally negative comments he made about my friend when I brought up issues with them were coming from personal knowledge of them that I didn't know.
