I had high hopes for my marriage counseling session at Naeem & Associates, but those hopes quickly faded upon entering the office, which did not feel like a professional setting. Halim Naeem, the counselor, immediately judged me based on my appearance, spending the first five minutes talking about my shoes and clothing. The session itself was disappointing; he wasted about 30 minutes discussing sports and other unrelated topics before barely scratching the surface of our marital issues. He made numerous assumptions and judgments without fully understanding our situation. To make matters worse, after the session, he demanded $200—$50 more than the originally agreed-upon fee—claiming we went over the time limit. This felt like a blatant attempt to overcharge us. Later, Halim Naeem contacted my wife and used surprisingly inappropriate language, which was shocking given his supposed pious Muslim persona. He even suggested that our marriage should end, despite us being happily married with two children. I would not recommend Naeem & Associates to anyone seeking professional services. This place felt more like a chop shop operation than a legitimate counseling practice. I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemies.
