I shared a very private story with Janet. She laughed at me, dismissed all my trauma, and diagnosed my entire family (parents and siblings) with mental health disorders. This was all in our first intake session. It was so bad I literally had to have therapy for my therapy session. I was so scared to see another therapist after my horrible experience with Janet, that I had to go to a new therapist with my spouse. The state of Iowa finds all this acceptable for a therapist to do, but if you’re thinking of seeing Janet RUN away.
