Jason Owyang, NPC

I was very disappointed with NP Jason Owyang because he did not code my claim correctly and I was consequently billed by Labcorp for $388.50 for two blood tests. These tests, hemoglobin AIC and vitamin D-3 level, were medically necessary for me (because of my osteopenia, hypocalcemia, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, BMI of 30-31, etc.) but my claim was denied by Medicare because it was coded incorrectly. In addition to the unnecessary financial burden, I spent hours on the phone with Labcorp and Medicare. I also made a special visit to his office directly after I went to Labcorp and was assured by the staff at the front desk that the coding issue would be resolved but it was not. I cancelled my follow up visit with him.
