I am a kidney transplant recipient and I sought a consultation with Dr. Henderson as an adjunct to my regular care. Dr. Henderson is filling an important niche and was the only reputable practitioner I could find offering insight into using functional medicine and alternative therapies to enhance kidney function. Her first hand knowledge of life as a kidney patient was clear and made me confident in the advice she offered. Our virtual appointment lasted over an hour, during which she addressed many of my questions. Before the appointment she had me complete a comprehensive questionnaire about my health and lifestyle. During the visit I was provided with a detailed document of recommendations to keep. I am still following many of her recommendations and have seen positive results. I can not stress enough how unique she is in bringing together functional/alternative medicine and nephrology. I would recommend a consult to anyone dealing with kidney disease, either pre or post transplant.
