I came to marriage counseling hoping for a neutral, balanced space to work through serious marital issues. Unfortunately, my experience with Jenn King was the opposite.Jenn was noticeably less than objective and appeared to approach the situation with a preconceived conclusion rather than curiosity or balance. The advice given was not only unhelpful but actively harmful. She strongly reinforced the idea that moving out was the “best” option, without adequately exploring alternatives or the long-term consequences of that decision.This kind of guidance perpetuates one of the biggest traps in marriage counseling: presenting separation as a default solution rather than a last resort, and doing so in a way that solidifies bias instead of encouraging genuine problem-solving or accountability on both sides.
