Dr. Jeremy Shuman, Psy.D

Dr. Shuman will make you feel heard, arm you with skills to better deal with your situation, and not let you hide behind your own stories. He is the most skilled therapist that I've worked with. I came to Dr. Shuman with extreme anxiety and depression. I felt the anxiety so profoundly in my body and the depression was causing me to not want to engage with others. I would, quite literally, hide in my room sobbing while under a weighted blanket. I felt paralyzed. Dr. Shuman helped me gain skills to step outside my personal experience of things and to reframe them. He helped me learn to identify my emotions and to not get stuck in black and white thinking. Naming emotions was difficult for me. While initially I rolled my eyes at the thought of a "feelings wheel" it is now one of my go-to strategies. I'm back to feeling happy, healthy, and whole. Dr. Shuman was instrumental in getting me there. If I could give him *more* than 5 stars I would.
