I recently had an experience with Jill Jensen, PA-C, that compelled me to share my thoughts. While I respect healthcare professionals and their commitment to patient well-being, I must express my disappointment in Ms. Jensen's approach. During my visit, I encountered difficulties in receiving treatment for my mental health condition. Despite being on a specific medication for the past four years, Ms. Jensen expressed reluctance to continue the prescription based on her personal moral views. I believe it is essential for healthcare providers to prioritize evidence-based practices and respect patients' established treatment plans. Furthermore, I observed that Ms. Jensen seemed selective in the ailments she was willing to address. It left me questioning the comprehensive nature of the care she provides. As a patient seeking holistic healthcare, it was disheartening to feel that certain aspects of my health were not given due consideration. I understand that healthcare professionals may have personal beliefs, but it is crucial to balance those beliefs with the diverse needs of the patient population. In my opinion, a healthcare provider should not deny essential treatment based on subjective moral considerations. If given the choice, I would recommend exploring alternative healthcare providers who prioritize evidence-based care and demonstrate a more inclusive approach to patient needs. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, with the intention of fostering improvement in patient care experiences.
