Joe was the SLP caring for my dad in 2011 following a post op cardiac arrest necessitating prolonged intubation. Joe was the HCW my dad remembered for years. He not only evaluated his swallowing and jogged his memories back to life, but he treated my dad with such respect. Everyone took care of my dad's physical health, but Joe restored my dad's mental and emotional health. We have never forgotten it.
