Over 1 month ago, I scheduled an eye doctor appointment where I ordered 2 pair of glasses that were supposed to meet my eye exam requirements. It took another 2 weeks for the glasses to come in. When I took them home, the glasses gave me headaches, blurry vision and dizziness. For a senior person I could have fallen. I had to wait for another 2 weeks before they could fit me in for a recheck of the glasses. The original cost of the eye glasses and exam was over $1,000.00 dollars. The eye doctor admitted he had given me the wrong prescription. He then wanted me to pay an additional $300.00 for a new prescription to fix his mistake. Dr. Joseph Pitcavage totally took advantage of me, and refused to make his mistake right. If you are older and/or on Medicare please BEWARE of this so called doctor. Needless to say, I didn't feel at all comfortable with him re-doing the new prescription and charging me additional costs for his mistake and so I requested a return of my payment and he could keep the glasses.
