Karen Steese, FNP-C

I had the unfortunate event of seeing Karen Steese at Centura Health Urgent Care Tri-Lakes. My prescribed migraine medications failed and urgent care was my last resort. I was in excruciating pain and nauseous. If you've had migraines, you know they can be scary and waiting see if the pain gets worse is terrifying. The nurse was kind and turned the lights off and spoke softly. However, Karen entered the room and clapped her hands and said "I can't help you". My husband and I were confused and surprise that she came in with her mind made up. She didn't even ask about my symptoms. 1.5yr. earlier another Dr. had given me a shot for the nausea and 2 pain pills for the pain (I only took one pill and discarded the other). She said "I don't have any of that stuff. I can't help you." I asked for her advise to see if I could take something over the counter for the nausea or Advil for the pain. I was worried mixing drugs. She didn't answer . She was smug and uncompassionate. I left crying.
