Dr. Kugach repaired my broken ankle. She seems to have done a good job with the hardware. The incision was very rough, not a straight line, and left a lot of scar tissue. It took 3 months for the incision to heal when it should take half that time.My real concern was with her bedside manner. When I asked questions, answers were minimal if at all. After the surgery, I asked her to tell me about what she did, as I was too shocked before hand to talk about it. She was unable to pull up the x-rays. When I asked her to just tell me, she said it was too complicated. I asked again and her response was that she put the pieces back together. Never once did she go over x-rays. She has no pictures or models of feet in her office. She clearly did not like when I asked questions. When I asked what to expect during recovery, the response was, every one is different. Another doctor explained to me in percentages of normal which was helpful and made me feel better about being on track.
