Kenisha was my NP at Lakeview hospital while I was admitted inpatient. She rounded in the morning and we had discussed DC That day (I was there for Cholecystectomy that is Normally an outpatient procedure). She drew labs that were unnecessary and my liver enzymes were very slightly elevated (which is to be expected after an abdominal surgery). My BP then went up due to the stress of the situation and she ordered BP meds (with no hx of high BP) and potassium when my potassium was Normal. She refused to let me leave due to her order to scan of my gull bladder (that no longer exists) for the next day. She did not communicate with nursing staff or me to follow up all day until the house supervisor was involved. She said delay was bc I was supposed to be on NPO diet, but she never put that order in. The scan was cancelled the next day when a new Dr took over bc there was no need. All of the other staff at hospital was great. It’s sad that one person can ruin an entire experience.
