I was assigned a nurse practitioner, Machelle Strand, as my primary care provider. I'm diabetic, and she prescribed medications without checking to see if my insurance would cover them. OK - maybe I'm not being reasonable on that front, but it's still frustrating. Then I asked her about some new symptoms I was experiencing and her response was "if you're worried, go to the emergency room." She eventually told me that my medical condition was more than she could handle and told me to go somewhere else. Her level of apathy is shocking. Stay away from Nurse Strand!
