This NP steamrolled my partner to get on the most extreme medications for their condition, and ignored any other solutions to their issue. Instead of listening to their requests about the harsh side effects of the medication, and wanting to try other medications that had shown success previously, and dug into other root problems through a genuine discussion on their past mental health--- They said this medication was the best option, and any other medication would have a similar side effect. The absolute disregard for patient care--- and to boot, medications can vary in effectiveness depending on your neurochemistry. Any doctor would be open to attempting different medications so long as a treatment plan is being followed up on. With all due respect, I am concerned as to why this person isn't under review or additional guidance on how to support patients in a professional and safe manner.
