I called to make an appointment with Dr.Carr upon the recommendation of mutual friends! When I told the answering person the name of my insurance coverage,I was told that that company doesn't pay us, we have had problems with another patients payments( WHICH WAS STRICTLY NONE OF MY BUSINESS ANDI feel violated HIPPA LAW about patient information to a third party?) and that I would have to pay out of pocket for the accupuncture treatment I was seeking! I found her statement above paying for coverage from my insurer feather disturbing as they have Never denied payment on any procedure,medication or RI,CT SCANS,any of the numerous procedures I have had approved and paid for without question since 2014! The entire phone conversation put me I'll at ease so no, not even with a recommendation or my out of pocket payment which I have absolute coverages for will Iattempt to visit Dr Carr's facilities! My insurance company agent was kind enough to find me three other offices that take my insurance for accupuncture in another city! Not as close to e as Dr.Carrs office but that's okay! Even tho my disability makes it hard to travel longer distances , Inbekie I wile better received elsewhere without beingsorudely rejected! What is wrong n this country when so called professional people act this way! I would say, be prepared if you choose this office for the first time to be treated unkindly.
