To begin with the advantages I found it very convenient how quickly I was able to see the doctor. I appreciate the Sunday appointment. However I paid $240 for 10 minutes of Acupuncture. Which is why I made the appointment. Usually I’m charged less than $100 for 30-1hr and can relax in peace with the needles. This experience followed up with 20 minutes of small talk about the time he injured his back. During the uncomfortable chat, all the needles fell on their own; so in my opinion they weren’t placed deep enough. Session ended with 5 minutes of a cupping massage, a heating pad and a cold pack. Things more accessible at home than a needling session. The cups weren’t left on the skin for any duration of time, just glided on the skin. In the end it was the ice pack that temporarily numbed the pain until walking out the door and seeing no improvement. Overall I’m pretty displeased. The doctor is very kind, though I’m not satisfied with the work. I was there for a total of 40 minutes, for 10 minutes of what I requested and unfortunately no improvement in the muscle pain that brought me there.
