I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but Ms. Hirst gave me a terrible experience. During my women’s exam I brought up that I had a lump in my breast and mentioned to her that I had health anxiety revolving around the issue. She told me “you need to be medicated” because I was worried.I also suspected that I had PCOS and she never addressed it (my NEW provider just recently confirmed the diagnosis with bloodwork and an ultrasound— so it’s not something I made up in my mind). Telling a patient that they “should be medicated” for valid health concerns is incredibly insensitive and hurtful. I’m also glad that I was able to get the PCOS diagnosis that I needed and my breast lump didn’t turn out to be something serious.
