I saw her for a couple months and was unsatisfied. I was given 2 diagnoses on the first visit. There wasn't much focus on grounding techniques as I'd have anxiety attacks during our sessions, with little guidance through these. She said I had to "walk through the flames" before calming down. She'd choose what topics we spoke about, regardless of what I wanted to work on. I went to her virtually and she'd even be driving during sessions and would take phone calls without giving me extra time. When I tried to voice my concerns, she just told me I was "emotionally underdeveloped," so I decided to stop seeing her since she wouldn't take feedback. After making this decision she told me that I wouldn't be able to find anyone as experienced as her, and since no one would be able to treat me as well and since I "couldn't handle it" I should stop therapy altogether and instead just buy books to fill out in my free time. I've been seeing a different therapist for 6 months and I'm much happier.
