Sonia isn’t interested in actually spending time building a relationship with her patients, and is extremely dismissive. Sonia IS very interested in med management, though. When I declined transferring my daughters med management to her, from her current developmental pediatrician, she basically told me that my daughter “didn’t need therapy”… we had two sessions with her… (2) 45-minute sessions.. that was all it took for her to determine that my 10 year old daughter, who has anxiety, ADHD, sensory processing, and a slew of other medical needs, who has been in therapy since she was 5 (we were just looking for a new provider since ours went out on maternity leave).. “doesn’t need therapy”. I’m thankful that she made our decision to not come back, for us. So parents beware, and look for alternatives if you’re seeking a provider for your child.
