Steven Belanger

Excellent guidance for assessing and dealing with Alzheimer.

My likelihood of recommending Steven Belanger is that I've already told everyone I know with similar or more complex issues than I have to see him :) He is an incredibly competent Speech Language Pathologist who zeroed in on cognitive issues and learning disabilities I've had since I was a child but were never addressed. He's extremely disarming, and given I have trauma with male clinicians, that means a lot. I'm autistic, and didn't feel the need to mask from moment one. He's very insightful, and makes each session one where I learn something new every time. Being referred to him was a pivotal moment in my treatment. It was the shortest intensive treatment I've been through because we figured out things pretty quick (even though my life was on fire), and knowing he'll be a part of my treatment team for the foreseeable future gives me hope, which I haven't had in a long time. It's the first time in 20 years that I've actually considered going back to school.
