Seen about 14 months ago, glasses broken, can't fix, very very very poor vision ---+6.00/6.50 , requested prescription so could get a new pair, was told only good for one year, never heard this before, most prescription last two year especially when some insurance will only cover exams every two years, would have to schedule an appt. I felt that Office staff did not care about my issue. Red hair receptionist would not even ask Dr. Bechtel if she would allow an exception and no way to talk to her personally. I like Dr. Bechtel, but I need a provider who is willing to work with you when you have a crisis. The office is too rigid. Called and seen another provider in another office so I could get me a needed pair of glasses. I require glasses daily to see and my back up pair were not bifocals and they were causing me some issues.
