We are beyond grateful for the support our daughter has received from Thurka. Our 10-year-old was struggling with anxiety, including fears around being sick and a strong fear of vomiting, along with generalized anxiety disorder. From the very beginning, Thurka built an immediate connection by talking about shared interests, helping our daughter feel comfortable and understood. She then thoughtfully works through what’s going on in her life while teaching practical coping strategies and breathing exercises she can actually use. As parents, we truly appreciate how involved Thurka keeps us. She regularly checks in with updates and takes the time to teach us the same skills so we can reinforce them at home. Our daughter genuinely looks forward to her sessions, and in just a few short months, we have seen a huge improvement. We would recommend her without hesitation to any parent looking for a compassionate, skilled, and truly effective therapist for their child. We are so thankful.
