Patient Reviews
Apr 16, 2026
I had surgery for cataract removal. Dr. Ng described two lens from which I could choose but did not thoroughly explain the difference between the two. He instead handed me a pamphlet. I did a little research on my own and chose the multifocal lens. Surgery was done and I never saw Dr. Ng again, even though I contacted the office about decreased visual acuity post op; never got a reply. All follow up visits were with an optometrist who works with Dr. Ng and all were unsatisfactory. I went back to the original optometrist who referred me to Dr. Ng and they confirmed my vision was worse post operatively than it was before surgery. They referred me to a cornea specialist on Oahu who informed me that unfortunately he could not correct my post op blurred vision surgically and that corrective lenses would not help either. He stated the reason for my blurred vision post op was due to the fact that the lens was not centered over my cornea. I paid $3000 for this failed procedure.
