Dr. Colvin was recommended to us by our family doctor. My wife had hernia surgery 4 years ago and there were complications. Since we weren’t happy with the results of the hernia surgery we sought a second opinion. Dr. Colvin has been great. Right away she explained that she would have done the same procedure our doctor did but she would not have used the same mesh that was used. There have been problems with that mesh. It has migrated and did not deteriorate as it was supposed to. This has caused problems with swallowing food, which is no small problem. Dr Colvin performed a series of procedures to remove as much of the mesh as possible and my wife’s situation has improved. I find Dr. Colvin to be easy to talk with, explains what she plans on doing and why, in language that is easy to comprehend. She is very approachable and I would not hesitate to recommend her to other patients. I can’t believe a review that says she does not listen to patients. This is a strength of hers
