Patient Reviews
Sep 05, 2020
No. My disabled daughter was in the ICU for 4 weeks. He spoke to me just once and quite disdainfully because I mentioned an published intensivist with whom he had an adversarial relationship. He allowed her to be transferred immediately out of ICU after extubation when she clearly was not ready, never told us(weekend) and within a day had to be reintubated, aspirated and would not listen to how we prevented this at home(proning & chest regimen) This led to another 3 weeks of intubation until we transferred her to Cornell where she was found to be dangerously underweight, had loosened teeth due to intubation and was then colonized with Klebsiella. It was the worst, most callous decision-making. I would never recommend his decision-making especially involving a developmentally disabled individual.
