My baby had 2 visits with Hodoba, 1 short stay, 1 long stay. After EEGs, EKGs & MRIs we were told these seizures were nothing more than a fluke, we shouldn't be worried, could be 'gas or acid reflux... babies do weird things.' Honestly, that felt great, (even thought we knew it too good to be true) bc he's the 'fellowship scholar' or whatever. 1 month later, 2 seizures in 2 days, obviously seizures. Luckily a friend referred us to a real hero at a private practice, no pretense, just attention&care. In 5 mins, by looking at a video (same was shared with Hodoba & our pediatrician) he knew exactly what was happening from something as subtle as 1 eye not blinking, while everyone else told us stop worrying. From there he went to the EEG to the MRI and everything lined up. It wasn't just gas or acid reflux, it was something much more severe. Idk if it's Hodoba's fault or more symbolic of our 'healthcare' system in general but if you love your baby, make sure to see someone who cares.
