I went to Dr Perkash due to low back pain as a result of an injury in my sacroiliac joint. He took one look at my x-rays and MRI and told me that my pain was coming from a spondylolisthesis and degenerated disc at My L4-L5 and suggested that he perform an epidural cortisone injection. On the follow-up visit I told him that my pain had not changed since the injection and that I thought he was injecting in the wrong location, to which he rudely responded: 'you telling me that your pain isn't coming from your L4-L5 is like trying to convince me that the earth is flat'. I asked him about alternative treatments such as prolotherapy and he curtly replied 'that won't work'. Dr. Perkash then suggested that he do a second expensive and painful epidural injection, which I did... again, absolutely zero reduction in my low back pain. On the second follow-up visit he referred me to a spinal surgeon, ugh! I ultimately found a great Dr. that offers prolotherapy and I'm now 100% pain free.
