After being our primary care doctor since they opened, for all four of our children, they called and canceled an appointment for my twin toddlers for strep throat/scarlet fever - which can have serious complications without treatment. We had been working with Dr. Oyahon to do immunology testing because our eldest son had a documented adverse vaccine reaction to the MMR/Dtap with Vaers. We were told by her, directly, that it was the right call to wait to get vaccines for our other kids (as they are prone to allergies as well) until full workups could be done. We scheduled those appointments with Cleveland Clinic and were following the protocol they suggested. Until this morning, when a nurse called and canceled saying they aren't vaccinated so they can't come in. Well, the whole point of everything we had been doing is so they COULD BE VACCINATED SAFELY - FOLLOWING HER OWN INSTRUCTIONS! We are taking them to urgent care or Joe DiMaggio, but based on the display I saw this morning (after a year of trusting our children in their care), I would say you are better off going elsewhere. If your pediatrician cares more about what something looks like on paper rather than the health and well-being of your kids... then this is just another run-of-the-mill doctor's office. To be clear: she had been seeing them for upwards of a year, knowing and advising on their allergies/vaccines, and then randomly one day decided she wouldn't anymore when we relied on their office for antibiotics. Do better!
With the exception of two years of a pandemic i don’t think there could be a better pediatric doctor!!! She is the best of the best. Loving , kind, compassionate, not to mention extremely knowledgeable !! I recommend to all!!!!
