Unfortunately, I allowed Dr. Sur to perform an aquablation prostatectomy on October 22, 2024. It is now more than 11 months later, and I am still passing large amounts of blood and clots in my urine. Nothing Dr. Sur foretold about the procedure turned out to be accurate when compared to the actual results. In retrospect, during many of my conversations with him he was confused and unable to provide direct answers. After his extremely bizarre behavior during and after my surgery, I reported his unacceptable and unprofessional behavior to hospital administrators and immediately stopped seeing him. Knowing what I now know about him, if I had to do it over again, I would avoid him like the plague. The entire urology department at UCSD seems to be mismanaged and poorly led.
