Dr. Spencer Summers and his entire team at HSS are truly remarkable.Dr. Summers is a gifted surgeon, and I simply cannot put into words how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received—and continue to receive whenever I have a question or concern.I had my total hip replacement surgery two weeks ago after suffering from severe, bone-on-bone arthritis. My hip had deteriorated to the point where I could no longer enjoy many of the activities I loved, and even walking a short distance had become difficult and painful. At times, it honestly felt as though an alien had taken up residence in my hip!The moment my surgery was over, that pain was gone. Literally gone. It is difficult to describe what an incredible feeling that was.I had my surgery at the HSS Ambulatory Surgery Center, and, incredibly, I was walking out just a few hours later with a walker. Now, only two weeks later, I am walking on my own and occasionally using a cane when I feel a little unsteady.
