The visit was due to my son having swollen lymph nodes in his neck without too many other symptoms. They were very noticeably swollen. His neck was getting very uncomfortable and we didn’t know what was going on. Dr Victoria assumed it was viral since there was no fever present. When she looked in his nose she said yea he’s stuffy. Told us to get a humidifier and saline spray and he’d be fine. She never did any swabs or tests. I feel like she often assumes it’s just viral. Later that evening he spiked a fever out of nowhere. Since this appointment we’ve gone back to this office and saw a different Dr who tested him for strep which was negative and ordered a mono blood test to see what’s going on because two days later his pain greatly increased. So much so that last night we had to bring him to the ER to find out that his lymph nodes are infected. Terribly disappointed in how his initial appointment was handled and do not wish to see Dr Victoria again.
