Despite other positive reviews, I’m afraid this review is very negative. After calling daily and waiting three weeks to see a Dr Hart at Wellington Bone and Joint, he saw me for a total of 10 minutes and seemed very uninvolved. I had previously broken my kneecap into four pieces in London (a very traumatic injury which left me with a stiff unmovable right leg), and I had taken great pains to see that all of my medical records were sent on to the Bone and Joint Centre long before my visit.. However, when I arrived there they had no case file ready for me, and when I finally got to see Dr Hart, he didn’t have my London medical records with him or indeed any documents of my case at all. I doubt that he had even looked at them. He just reviewed the x-rays that were just taken and said that the outlook was ‘not good’, and that I may or may not need have to have open surgery on my knee again. He has absolutely no bedside manner and seemingly couldn’t care less about his patients’ welfare. He referred me to a colleague to see if I could have a less serious procedure, but didn’t seem very positive about this. He ended by saying ‘sorry, this is a very complex case’, and left the room to immediately go on to another patient. Well, aren’t certified surgeons supposed to be trained to deal with very complex cases? I left completely disheartened and should have told him what I thought of him. Whatever the outcome, I will certainly not be having surgery with Dr Hart, as I do not trust him because of his flippant, unprofessional, and unprepared manner. I am now booked in to see another knee specialist at a Lake Worth clinic. Final note: the Wellington office was so crowded, disorganised, and rushed that I suspect any surgeries performed would be the same. Please avoid this clinic if you are in need of any serious treatment.
